Mission:
Around The World in 8 Days
Location: Bridge - U.S.S. Gladiator - A
Timeline: BACKPOST
Walking onto the massive bridge that was his ship, David looked around and took in the sights. It was obvious that this was going to take time to get used to. Whoever thought to have built a bridge of such complexity and massive proportions were surely trying to show off. He smirked as he walked around to the rear of the upper level of the bridge and shook his head, as he was still getting used to the idea of a full sized transporter.
As the captain walked up to the transporter controls, he noticed the time and smirked as he knew it was early, but knew that she would be up and ready to walk out of her room. He quickly moved over the controls and picked up his target before finally locking on and engaged the transporter beam. As he did, the transporter padd lit up and the beam brought forth the figure of the beauty they all knew as Captain Laurens. "Welcome aboard, Captain."
Abigail was up, awake and dancing along to the music playing in her quarters, unable to help herself. She had woken up in a great mood and with the ship in the final stages of preparing for departure and most of the plans being overseen by Ichiko, there wasn't a great deal for Abigail to do immediately, but still she was dressed and ready for the day, contemplating what she was going to have for breakfast.
She had only just finished brushing her hair when the familiar sensation of the transporter washed over her, her eyes widening with shock and surprise.
Moments later, re-materializing in an unfamiliar place, she felt a hint of panic rising within her, that was, until her gaze fell on the familiar face of David standing in front of her. "David?" she asked uncertainly, stepping off the transporter padd and taking the hand he had held out to her. "What's going on?"
"Well, you said you were deploying today, and I couldn't help but say good bye, in person one more time," he smirked as he reached up to her to guide her down from the padd.
She smiled, touched by his desire to see her again before they left. "And you didn't think to, you know, call me and ask?" she teased as she squeezed his hand.
"Welcome aboard the Gladiator," He lead her down to show the rear of the massive bridge of the odyssey class. He released her from his grip and let her scan the area for himself. The few bridge crew that were on duty, at the time, were mostly trusted officers that he had brought over from the previous ship, to this one. So not all were surprised at his random actions of transporting a new, unexpected person aboard without authorization.
"It's impressive," she said with a smile. "I see why you love it so much. So, is that why you kidnapped me? To prove that yours is bigger?" Her voice took on a light, teasing tone as she looked up at him.
"I don't need to prove anything at all. I wanted to spend time with you. What more then giving you a tour of the ship?" David shook his head as he smirked slightly.
"I see... so this is just a tour? Well, now that you've abducted me and you have me here, you should lead on, Captain," she quipped lightly in response.
"Hey, if you'd like such a tour?" he smiled in a childish fashion, which was out of his norm. But he went back to his normal stance as he walked up from the rear of the central chairs. "Or would it make you feel better sitting in my new captain's chair?"
The look of surprise on her face was clear. "You'd let me sit in your Captain's Chair?" she asked. "You don't mind sharing?"
"With you, I'd share my own bed room..." Hawkins smirked as he lead her around and down the ramp to the central area. He heard a scuffs and a couple chuckles before he called an officer out. "Don't mind them... I pay them to keep their mouth's shut."
"We get paid?" one lieutenant called out from their station.
"In love, now SHUT UP!" David shouted as he stood in the large open area before the chair in question. "So what do you say?"
With a grin and a shrug, Abigail walked across the to the center chair, settling back into it, leaning against the back rest and crossing her legs neatly. "Not bad," she replied with a smirk. "A girl could get used to this... maybe you should watch your back Captain Hawkins," she finished with a grin.
"The command is yours on one condition..." David smirked slightly as he offered simply.
"And what's that?" she asked, turning to look at him, one eyebrow raised. She was acutely aware of the fact that the crew on the bridge were making a concerted effort to not look at them, or listen to them. He'd done well, clearly they understood the point of discretion. "What's your price, Captain?" she teased.
"Take a couple laps around the bridge, butt naked," he replied as he smirked.
"Not again, Captain," his acting security officer called out as she looked up from her tactical station.
"I'll pay you double to record this," David looked over at the security officer.
"Deal!"
He turned back at the beauty that was in his chair and cocked his head as he waited for her response.
Shifting in the Captain's Chair, Abigail met David's gaze. "Not even this bucket of bolts is worth it," she replied with a smirk. "Besides, didn't you see enough of me naked last night?"
"Oh Abby, you know me all to well, but you also know how much of last night meant to me. So if it means sharing your beauty to everyone else for an instant, just to see it again, I will be happy to allow your sexy butty to run this star-ship."
Rising up slowly and gracefully from the center chair, Abigail started walking across to David, her gaze becoming somewhat steely as she stood in front of him, pressing the palm of her hand into his chest. "First," she cautioned quietly. "If you want to see me naked, you will wine me, dine me, compliment me and if you're REALLY lucky you might get lucky, behind closed doors." She drew in a sharp breath. "Secondly, I'm not a peep show for your little neanderthals, and you're lucky I don't put you on your ass for even suggesting it... And finally..." she rounded on the security officer that had made the deal. "You ought to be ashamed of yourself for stooping to his level."
Abigail turned back to David, folding her arms across her chest as she looked up at him. "Well?"
"See, this is the reason why I like you, Abby," he stated as he walked up to her closing the gap between them and crossed his own arms over his chest. "You always were a little spit fire. Don't worry, I don't want to share you."
"Good, now that that's out of the way, you interrupted my breakfast, so you owe me." Abigail's defiant tone lightened and she looked up at him, lowering her voice slightly. "I don't have a lot of time before I'll have to go back. We're getting ready for departure."
"Sounds good," David grinned slightly as he guided her to the ready room. "Now, don't be alarmed. My new ready room is almost as big as your bridge, so I made sure i had a large table placed in there so we can enjoy a quick breakfast before you have to leave."
Abigail scowled slightly in his direction as she felt his hand in the small of her back, ushering her toward his ready room. "It's okay," she added quietly. "I'll wait until we're behind closed doors before I smack you for that one."
"Yeah... I know. But its well worth it."
