Mission: Enforced Intermission
Location: Med bay

C'Tirr stalked down the halls of deck 4. He was heading to medical for a standard physical and he hoped the Doctor had studied up on Caitian physiology. He arrived at the door and his tail twitched as the doors opened. His ears perked forward as he stepped through. The smell of the sanitizer assailed his sensitive nose and it crinkled a bit. He glanced around the area looking for the Doctor.

Looking up from her desk, Ensign Nolan looked at the newcomer. “May I help you?” She asked nonchalantly.

"Lieutenant Junior Grade C'Tirr K'Ruuras reporting for standard physical." C'Tirr said as his ears shriveled towards the Ensign.

Nolan nodded, turning back down to her computer momentarily before getting up out of her chair. "Follow me," She stated, leading the crewmember past several beds until she pointed to an empty one. "Please take a seat there, I will start your vitals until the Doctor can get over here."

C'Tirr nodded and followed the Ensign to the designated bed and took a seat. He curled his tail along his leg to keep it out of the way.

Calvin walked by the bed, checking on another patient before turning and coming back. The nurse mumbled a few things to him, mostly vitals and basic information before wandering over to the terminal to chart briefly. He then turned to the officer smiling. “Hello Lieutenant, I’m Calvin, or Doctor. Whichever you are comfortable addressing me as. I understand you’re here for your physical. Anything bothering you that I should know about?”

"No doctor. I just hope your up to date on Caitians." C'Tirr said with a smile. He knew most humans used humor in their greetings and was attempting to use it. "I feel just fine. My sleep schedule is acceptable and I maintain a healthy diet of meat. I try to exercise at least three to four times a week." He told the doctor.

Calvin leaned in to whisper, “I’m not. Tell you the truth I’m not even a doctor, just picked up the uniform and rolled with it.” He winked as he leaned back. “Go ahead and get comfy on the bio bed. We’ll do a quick head to toe and get you out of here quick.”

C'Tirr chuckled as he laid back on the bio bed, his tail lay between his legs and the tip flicking occasionally. "Funny one doc. Ready when you are."

Calvin started his exam, explaining each step in almost robotic fashion as he alternated between physical exam and scanning with his tricorder. He started at the head, slowly working his way down. "What department are you in?" He asked in between explanations.

"Engineering, I'm the new Assistant Chief Engineer. Have you had any malfunctions to report by any chance? I'm compiling a detailed list of malfunctions as well as their time period. I've been trying to find where and when it started to figure out what's going on."

“Ah, no I haven’t had any recently that haven’t already been put in the system,” Calvin replied, getting close to finishing his exam. Well you seem to be in pretty good shape like you said,” he added, closing his tricorder. “I need to compare results with your previous records, but I won’t bother you unless I come across something.”

"They should be in the system with my transfer orders." C'tirr sat up as he spoke. "Is there anything else you require Sir?"

“No I think you’re all set. Good luck though, I’ve been hearing there’s a ghost in the computer system,” Calvin replied with a smile, not knowing how true that statement was.

"Yeah, it has kept us busy." C'Tirr said as he slid off the biobed and stretched languidly. "Speaking of which, if that's it, I'll get back to Engineering."

"You may, enjoy your new post," Calvin replied, shutting down the console and moving onward to his next job.

C'Tirr smiled and nodded to the Doctor. "Thank you Doc." He said as he started walking to the door he nodded and smiled at the nurse whom had greeted him when he got there as he left medbay.
