Embarking of the CMO

Calvin looked down at his watch, “0400, right on time,” he mumbled to himself feeling the transport land softly inside the shuttle bay of space station. He glanced down at his uniform as he stood up, his hands going up and down the uniform. He attempted to straighten the teal medical uniform that while was a little faded, he wore quite proudly. He watched the hustle and bustle of others on the transport grab their bags and line up in the aisle, waiting their turn to set off. He did the same, taking his olive duffel and slinging it over his shoulder carefully not to hit anyone.

As he stepped down onto the deck of the shuttle bay, he continued to follow the line of people, assuming they would take him to the shuttlebay exit, and hopefully to someone to tell him where he needed to go next. It was mostly quiet in the compartment, save for his fellow traveling companions. The other shuttles sat quietly in the dark, waiting till after morning roll call to be start their hustle and bustle. He knew he was earlier than needed, but his time in-between posts was longer than comfortable for him, and he'd rather start to get comfortable on his new post.

Tired of the slow progress of the line, he slid past the newcomers as well as the crew attempting to point people in the right direction. The groggy movements of the crew and disembarks made it easy to outmaneuver the people. After getting to a quiet part of the corridor he removed the PADD from his bag and flipped through the paperwork to figure who he was supposed to report to and where. A quick check of the station computer in the corridor gave him easy directions to the docking port of the Astraea.

With information in hand, he replaced the PADD to its traveling location, and started off in the direction of his new post. It wasn't more than 15 minutes later that he got his paperwork checked by security, and walked across the docking bridge and onboard his new home.
