Mission: War and Peacekeeping
Location: Holodeck 1
Timeline: TBD

Aram took a deep breath as he entered the holodeck. He carried his bow with him, a gift from a Klingon friend of his. Though technically not a very useful weapon this day and age, it was incredibly intricate and capable of not only firing the normal projectiles but could also fire a solid bolt of kinetic energy. During his time as a courier he had actually resorted to using in that mode once or twice... okay maybe three times.

He looked over at the mirrored surface of the control panel and his reflection. Aram wasn't an overly tall man, standing at 5'8. He had dark brown hair, blue eyes, an athletic build, and a young face that didn't even begin to show his actual 100 years. He turned towards the control panel and called up his program. Seconds later the grid squares were replaced by that of lush and green forest. This particular forest came from a work of ancient Earth fiction.

"Computer begin program, level 3."

"Programming beginning in fifteen seconds."

Aram cracked his neck and brought his bow up in the ready position. He grabbed an arrow from his quiver, notched it and waited for the first enemy to appear. He didn't have to wait long, seconds later a large black skinned, muscle bound, humanoid broke through the underbrush. He unleashed a primal roar and then came charging right at Aram.

Aram smiled and fired, hitting the orc right between the eyes, he dropped to the ground. All around him more of the creatures charged forwards, brandishing axes, clubs, and a variety of other deadly looking weapons. He let another arrow fly, taking down another charging creature.

"Die elf scum!" one of them roared.

"You first," Aram responded.

He back-flipped and then fired again, the projecticle finding it's mark in the orc's right eye. He screamed and fell backwards, clutching at the offending object. By now, several had closed to melee range with him, forcing him to hit a button on the bow, reconfiguring it into a bat'leth like weapon. They came charging at him, swords clashing against his own and throwing off sparks. He danced away from from their attacks, unleashing devastating counterattacks that left several laying on the ground bleeding.

With more room, he was able to re-enage in bow mode, mowing down the orcs as they poured from the surrounding forest. He reloaded and fired as fast as he could, hitting his mark most of the time. Those that he missed initially he was able to pick off seconds later. The small clearing was quickly becoming littered with corpses, causing his charging attackers to trip over their own fallen comrades bodies.

"Program complete," the computer said, as the last orc cumpled to the ground. "Accuracy 98.8%."

"Should have been at least 99%," Aram muttered to himself. "Computer, save playback and transfer to my personal database for review."

"Transfer complete."

"End program."
