| Personal History | Lisa has a twin brother, Rory, as well as two other brothers that bracket the pairing. From a young age, she and Rory were inseparable, when one got in trouble, they'd cover for each other and never let it be known who'd done what. The overall idyllic life of the Terrix family was cut short when an Andorian emissary visited Dublin when Lisa was thirteen and there was an assassination attempt that resulted in a seven-minute firefight that left seven Dubliners dead along with six would-be assassins and three bodyguards. Among the dead were Lisa's older brother and mother, leaving a huge hole in the family. Fractures began to form as the entire dynamic changed and Lisa all but ran away from home shortly after her fourteenth birthday. Her routine became leaving early in the morning to go to school, but after school, sometimes even leaving during classes, she'd roam the streets and ran across a 'social club', ie a gang, where she'd hang out and get into all sorts of half-hearted mischief until returning home late at night to fall into bed, wake up and do it all over again. She had several run-ins with law enforcement, but all for minor nuisances that she was given virtual slaps on the wrist and released. Despite becoming a better than good hacker that got She was just existing on the inside and outside for nearly four years. She graduated from high school with very mediocre grades in the summer of 2375 and with the Dominion War still raging, decided that there was nothing better to do and enlisted in Starfleet. Her aptitude tests defied her school grades and she was put into the engineering and operations tracks for further training, eventually being directed into engineering. The Dominion War ended while she was still in basic training, but given all of the casualties that had been suffered, her class was still rushed through and she was assigned to the Ambassador-class starship Horatio as her most junior enlisted person and got completely lost in the system. Her first five year tour of duty was uneventful to say the least, and upon her return to Earth was reassigned to the Centaur-class USS Capodistra, one of the few Centaur-class ships remaining from the Dominion War. Again, it was relatively uneventful but by this time she knew that Starfleet was where she belonged, not back in a modest house on Earth. She was assigned to the USS Appalachia, a Galaxy-class starship, and began to really flourish with her first promotion up to Petty Officer 3rd Class. In 2388, she first met then Lieutenant (jg) Evelyn Rozia and got her own second stripe while becoming very, VERY attached to the Lieutenant. 2391 saw Lieutenant Rozia taking Lisa along to the USS Scheherazade, an Intrepid-class ship, where she became the second ranking enlisted engineer but was Rozia's personal aide along with a very, very good programmer. When Evelyn was taken from the ship, Lisa went with her to help put together the new Odyssey-class ship that would become the USS Astraea. |
