| Personal History | Evelyn was born on November 8th, 2362, to pair of rather liberal Trill parents who named her after the Starfleet Academy roommate of her mothers that died on the USS Tombaugh, assimilated by the Borg early in the year. The oldest of four children, Evelyn entered the Initiate program as a teenager and after graduating high school at the age of 15 was approved shortly before her 17th birthday to be added to the list of acceptable candidates. It was prior to her appointment to report for Starfleet Academy when she was given notification that she was to be joined with the Rozia symbiont, a younger creature that had only been joined to two other hosts in its lifetime. The Joining process as well as her adjustment period caused her to reach the Academy nearly a month after the school session started, but she quickly caught up with her coursework and entered the engineering track. She quickly found out that despite her 'past selves' having been an astrometrics and stardrive engineer respectively, she was into the more physical aspects of engineering, such as damage control as well as a fascination on starship design. Graduating in the top ten percent of her class, Evelyn was assigned to the USS Taurus, a small Nova-class starship, as a junior engineer and after a five year tour, had been promoted to Lieutenant (jg) and given a commendation for improving the efficiency of the Taurus's warp drive by nearly eight percent. She was moved to the USS Appalachia, a Galaxy class starship that was sent out to the Delta Quadrant for a diplomatic mission. While out there, Evelyn met some of the newly discovered species and also was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant while attaining the Assistant Chief position when the current Assistant Chief had been transferred to a ship in need of a Chief. Upon return to the Alpha Quadrant, Evelyn was reassigned to the Intrepid-class USS Scherezade as her Chief Engineer taking with her Petty Officer 2nd Class Lisa Terrix who basically became her aide de camp and constant minder and notetaker. In 2394, she was reassigned to an unnamed starship that was being built in the Utopia Planetia shipyards, with a new stardrive known as the Quantum Slipstream Drive, that her symbiont's second host, Arcanus, had been working on the concept before his untimely passing to Evelyn. When news of the destruction of the Astraea was received, the ship was commissioned with the name of that ship and Evelyn was retained on board as her chief engineer. Rozia Symbiont- 1st Host- Jidressa Pilot, started off in the Trill Defense Force before joining Starfleet and their fighter corps. After fifteen years of carrier operations, became a flight instructor. 2nd Host- Arcanus Engineer, joined Starfleet and became an engine specialist. Attained rank of Commander and joined a research and development team, working on future ships and their propulsion systems. |
